So yesterday I attempted to make these:
I followed the recipe on this site: http://www.justbestrecipes.com/sandwich/skor-squares.html
found it on Pinterest of course. But unfortunately mine didn't turn out as well as this looks. The recipe was a little vague and unfortunately had no spot for comments so I couldn't sift through and see what people had said. This recipe called for a BOX of Ritz crackers. That's A LOT of crackers. I think perhaps they meant a sleeve. This was delicious in flavor but was so crumbly they just made a huge mess. Oh and I forgot to top it with chocolate (a sin I know).
SO here is mine: (sorry its half eaten- told you it still tasted good!)
Ingredients for Skor squares:
- 1 (6 ounce) package Skor English toffee bits
- 1 box Ritz cracker
- 1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- 1 cup of chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation of Skor squares:
- Crush the Ritz into fine crumbs and put in mixing bowl.
- Add 3/4 of the Skor bits 3/4 of the pecans and the can of Eagle Bran milk.
- Mix well.
- Press into a 9 inch buttered square pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining Skor bits and pecans on top.
- Cook at 350 degrees for 8 minutes (no more).
- Make sure you cool off completely before cutting into squares or they will fall apart.
